The best way to call United States of Europe?
I'm traveling in a couple of weeks in Europe and want to call home to see family. Will in Italy, Turkey, Greece and the Greek islands. I'm not going to take my laptop to PC phone calls will not be an option. I have heard of international cell phones, but I think the phone cards would be cheaper. Do I need a different map for each country or a card you can buy here in states that serve the purpose? Or is there another option altogether? I should add that being on board ship for most of the time. To access the Internet even wireless (satellite) that want to charge 0.75 a minute increments 100, 200 or 500! It is not exactly cheap ….
