How difficult is to use the iPhone for the elderly?
My mother has a cell phone Motorola RAZR Pink (flip style fone) with the camera in it and all the bells and whistles. She has a difficult time hearing people on it (by their shape and size) and can not work most of the features. He had the phone for at least three years (or more) and your contract should be renewed. She believes that to get another phone and asked my opinion on the new iPhone. I say if you do not use a RAZR, so there is no chance you can use your iPhone. She is 60 and has trouble seeing the keys and buttons and the like. What do you think? Is this an iPhone to the rescue? or she lost trying to use it. For what it's worth, the main phone features you use the camera, the text, and call the base.
Do not want to bother with an iPhone for basic functions. The iPhone is made for technical and can be confusing to her mother. One option would be the Jitterbug, which is designed for the elderly. The only problem with is the Jitterbug phone with a camera and it seems that is only available through the Jitterbug service (which seems to be a pay as you go "or those low-very easy) that can not be good if your mother uses the phone frequently. the phones that are on the market that are aimed at older people tend to have basic features only. Unfortunately, the basic functionality of a party generally excludes the camera. The best would be to have your mother in a store and having to play with some models. Often shops / kiosks have models live can prove (to put your own SIM card in it or you can make local calls only) to test the volume or the keyboard.
